Carole Kirkpatrick Persinger

Carole joined Sweet Adelines International in 1960 at the tender age of 18 and has never looked back.  She  celebrated her 50th year at the Seattle International Convention.  Her first chorus  was in Ohio for the first  two years of her Sweet Adeline life.  She has been a member of three different choruses, one being Pacific Sound that she  founded and directed for 18 years until retiring in 2007.  Pacific Sound was a top 10 finalist at many international competitions, having placed as high as third in Orlando.  She is a full time coach and teacher and travels all over the world to coach many of our wonderful choruses and quartets.

She is currently a member of the International Board of Directors and is the International Board Nominating Chair for 2014-2015.  She is also a past International President of Sweet Adelines, 2002/2004.  She is a Master Director 700 in the organization, having directed Pacific Sound to a score of over 700 points.

On April 6, 2013, Carole married Larry Persinger, a classmate from high school. They live in Ohio during the summer months in the same small town where they were both born and raised. Winters will find them in the warm and sunny climate of Florida.

She has two wonderful children, Christopher and Shannon, and two beautiful grandchildren, Matthew 15 and Michael 13.  In her spare time, she loves reading, especially anything to do with the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries, loves antiquing and spending time with her family and friends.
