Congratulations are in order for director, Janet Burnett, who was honored with her 50 year pin for membership in Sweet Adelines. She received her pin at the recent international competition week in St Louis along with fellow Region 10 honorees, Darlene Rogers and Mary Hower. What an honor for these ladies who continue to serve the organization and our region. Cannot wait to see what their futures hold!!! In addition, congratulations go to our Region 10 competitors, Woodlands Show Chorus, Alamo Metro chorus, The Ladies, and Essence! Thank you for representing Region 10 so well!

September 25, 2018, Houston Horizon celebrated it's 37th year history with a Reunion. And, what a fun reunion it was. Friends from all over the place came to visit and renew friendships while new friendships were formed! We all got on the risers and sang songs and tags together, watched a slide show of our past directors with commentary, and viewed photos of the chorus from each contest that we have competed in. We also figured out that, as far as we know, we are the only chorus in Sweet Adelines that has produced 3 presidents for the organization! Not bad, right? We would love to see more of our friends and find out what you have been doing since you sang with us. Come and visit any Tuesday evening, we would LOVE to see you!!!!!
Tuesday, 9/11, saw us singing the National Anthem and God Bless America at the Sugar Land Skeeters baseball game. The team was honoring first responders and invited us to come and sing for them. And although the Skeeters didn't win that night, we had a great time cheering on the team and entertaining the crowd!
This past Tuesday night, HHC got to do something that has become our favorite activity at rehearsal...welcome a new member!! Welcome to our newest member, Demi Edwards! We are so glad that you are a part of us now! Looking forward to seeing you join us in all of our activities moving forward. WELCOME!
Houston Horizon had a fabulous time at our annual retreat this past weekend at Moody Gardens. And, here's the proof of all that fun! Our coach, Lynda Keever, helped us grow into our new ballad. Fun was had by all! Come by on Tuesday evenings and see what all the fun is about!
Rehearsal this week saw lots of friends back on the risers....welcome back! Plus an audition for a new member! Things are rockin' along here at HHC!! Come and join the fun!
Sat, June 30th, saw the chorus take a "Sentimental Journey" back to the 1940s for our annual show! Songs like Sentimental Journey, I'll Be Seeing You, As Time Goes By entertained our audience as well as the honoring our Armed Forces audience members with the Armed Forces Medley. Thanks to all who sang as well as all who attended! See you at Christmas!!!
Great Gulf Coast Region 10 held their Summer Regional meeting this past weekend and Houston Horizon was well represented in both the Red and the Blue chorus. To see how much fun they had, ask the people in the photos. Our faculty was the incomparable Ryan Heller! Everyone who attended had a great time...here's to the next Regional meeting in the fall!!
HHC welcomed back a former member to our ranks last week, Judy D. She's singing bass and we're delighted to have her back with us! What a treat to be able to sing "You're the Spirit of Sweet Adelines" to such a terrific lady! Welcome back, Judy!
Tuesday night saw Kellie Welsh install our new Management Team for 2018-2019.
