In the midst of all the craziness in the world these days, Houston Horizon celebrates the 50 year membership of our very own, Pat Fenton.  We are so very proud and cannot wait to party with her over this moment when life gets back to more normal.  Congratulations, Pat and we wish you another 50 years....smile!

She came, she coached, she worked us hard, she made us sing better, and she is Peggy Gram!  She coached Houston Horizon the weekend before Valentine's Day and she did an amazing job!  She was nice but blunt about what the chorus needs to be doing heading into Regional Contest.  We are hard at work incorporating those things into our performance for all of our Region 10 friends and fellow competitors.  Thanks, Peggy, and we'll see you again!

We had Visitors!  We had several ladies join us on the risers on Tues, Jan 21 at our Open House and it was great fun!  We are looking forward to seeing them back again next week as we continue our journey to Regional Contest.  If you have found our website and want to check us out, we meet every Tuesday in the Education bldg of Unity Church, at the corner of Hillcroft and Unity Drive.  We'll be waiting for you!!

Happy New Year from Houston Horizon!

As we look back on 2019 and all of it's memories....our holiday show, performing on the Tidelanders holiday shows, competing at Intl competition in NOLA, regional meetings, quartets, saying goodbye to our beloved Vicki Wyont, Sophie Lee's engagement, Amanda's new little girl, our annual Good Time Show, fabulous coaches, regional contest and so much more!  And now, on to 2020 and all of the memories we have yet to make!

We've got a new Assistant Director! We are so excited and enjoying singing under the once-in-awhile direction of Ms Sophie Lee Landau! She is also a Tenor Section leader, a musical theatre director with the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center here in Houston and has perfect pitch. A skill that she uses quite a lot with Houston Horizon...smile!  We welcome Sophie Lee to her new leadership role and know that she and our Director, Janet Burnett, will lead us to new musical heights as we end 2019 and look forward to 2020.

Fall is in the air with the holidays not very far behind!  HHC is heading down the holiday highway with lots of things happening.  We've got our sponsorship of wreaths for fallen soldiers with Wreaths Across America, our Pampered Chef fundraiser is in full swing, and we are learning new music for our holiday performances.  Our annual Christmas show is coming up on December 13th at Memorial Church of Christ...keep checking this site for when tickets go on sale!  We'll be looking for you!!!

We had a great time in New Orleans at International Competition!  We came, we ate, we sang, we watched the flooding back home in Houston, we made new friends, and we said goodbye to some of our dual members, and now we're on to bigger and better things.  We have several holiday shows coming up, including our own show on Friday, Dec 13.  Do you have your tickets yet?  See you there...ho, ho, ho!!!

Recently, we were entertained by our newest quartet, New Edition! We also fine tuned the enhancements to our contest tunes! The countdown to New Orleans is ON!
